Origin of the lion relief

It was the dawning era of speakers in Japan around 1925 when the founder of our company, Yanagawa Haruo, was a boy. He was astonished by the overwhelming power of the sound from speakers made by American manufacturer Magnavox, which was described as a lion’s roar.
He worked to domestically produce in-house manufactured speakers in 1942 and established Tokyo Kakuseiki Kenkyujo (Tokyo loudspeaker laboratory), which was the predecessor of ASHIDA SOUND CO., LTD. and decided to manufacture speakers surpassing those manufactured by Magnavox that astonished him in his boyhood.
This relief having a lion at the center with the trademark of ASHIDAVOX expresses the passion of the founder who worked to be the king of sound.
